In the early days of the internet, pioneers like John Postel and Vint Cerf were strong advocates for open-source software, or public code nowadays we call them, and a free, inclusive internet. So the TWNIC played a key role in allocating internet resources during this experimental project phase. And the internet’s early development was shaped by those open and inclusive principles, which were crucial to the success of the internet.
