Since the law’s introduction, we haven’t fined Facebook as they have actively worked to detect and remove such scams. In Taiwan, we believe it’s crucial to raise awareness about these vulnerabilities, ensuring that platforms profiting from advertisements associated with these scams also assume responsibility for their spread. We’re addressing these issues using the EU’s term, “foreign information manipulation and interference” (FIMI), particularly during campaign seasons. However, we distinguish between domestic political accusations and FIMI.
