Yeah, if anything, I’ve never really thought about Tzu Chi, the foundation, in a non-taiwanese context. To me, growing up in Taiwan is such a natural part of who we are. Like, oh, there’s a natural disaster crisis. Of course, Tzu Chi is on site and they always wear these, their navy tops and white slacks, hair in the bun, all standardized. Always a very calming presence. Very calming and reassuring presence. And it’s not about—there’s that word that’s really hard to wrap my tongue around—proselytizing.
